Walk

Enjoy walking through the beautifully landscaped campus. Many students find they have plenty of time to walk from one room or building to another between classes. Not only is walking a free mode of transportation it also has its health benefits:

  • Higher percentage of body fat burned

  • Increase health & fitness

  • Boost energy levels

  • Decrease in health risks

If you have concerns about walking through campus alone at night, the University Police is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Additionally, the USF SAFE Team provides escort service to and from any on-campus location from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. each night and 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. during the summer.

The SAFE Team mission:

“To provide the students, faculty and staff of the USF Tampa campus with a safe environment at night.”

In addition to the University Police and the USF SAFE Team, there are blue light phones located throughout the campus for use in the event of an emergency.
