Attention
Employer!
Become a Clean Air Partner Today1
The Tampa Bay Clean Air Partnership (CAP) was designed by air
quality agencies in both Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties to
involve employers in a voluntary effort to reduce air pollution and
traffic congestion in the Tampa Bay area.
Participating employers are asked to help reduce the number of
work-related single occupancy vehicle trips and/or convert all or
part of their vehicle fleets to clean fuels.
Why should an employer join the Clean
Air Partnership?
 |
Save money
on parking expenses, taxes, & commuting |

How can an employer join the
partnership?
Simply call the New North Transportation
Alliance to receive a Clean Air Partnership handbook, which contains
specific information and materials related to the program, including
criteria for partnership, a list of participating
area employers, and a CAP agreement form.
| The CAP program was developed by
the Environmental Protection Commission of Hillsborough County
& the Pinellas County Department of Environmental
Management, in partnership with Bay Area Commuter Services and
the University of South Florida's Center for Urban
Transportation Research. |
 |
Several other transportation organizations and
agencies throughout the Tampa Bay area have chosen to support
the CAP. These include HARTline, PSTA, New North
Transportation Alliance, Westshore Alliance, Tampa Downtown

Summer
Safety Tips
Summer is Here & Schools Are Out Enjoy the upcoming months
with safety in mind
 |
It's the law! Cyclists and bicycle
passengers under the age of 16 must wear bicycle helmets. Adults
are highly encouraged to wear helmets too. Bicycle helmets help
prevent or minimize head injury in case of an accident. |
 |
With schools out and the sun
shining, more children may be walking or biking to their
favorite destinations. Motorists should be extra cautious of
increased pedestrian and cyclist activity. |
 |
Remember to look for pedestrians or
bicyclists as you pull out of driveways, approach a crosswalk,
or make turns through intersections. |
 |
Many families and individuals will
take to the roadways this summer, especially during the long
holiday weekends. Be safe, travel the speed limit, and make sure
everyone in your vehicle is buckled up. |
 |
If you are traveling with a child
age 5 years or younger, you are required by law to restrain them
in a crash tested, federally approved child restraint device.
Visit www.kidseat.org for more information on child safety
seats. |
 |
Long holiday weekends provide good
opportunities to visit with friends and families. If you have
been drinking alcohol, however, do not drive. During the You
Drink & Drive, You Lose campaign, taking place between June
27 and July 13, law enforcement throughout the state will be
undertaking a massive, cooperative effort to reduce alcohol
related crashes and injuries.
